ECU remapping for economy
« on: 22 July 2008, 19:24:30 »

In this age of £6 a gallon is it possible to get a remap of the ECU for better economy. Before I consult with a dealer I would like some fellow owner advise.
My Car is a 2.6 V6 Auto saloon on a 53 plate. 45,000 on the clock and well looked after, serviced but the MOT guy said it was running rich. Bad news is I am only getting 21 MPG, less in the Winter. I have changed the Air filter, Fuel Filter and chucked some Injector cleaner in, any ideas ?

nope this only happens on diesels

you can chip the v6s and the gains are 9bhp and 15lb/ft of tourqe but no better economy infact its worse!
