Quick fix needed!
« on: 28 July 2008, 11:58:12 »

Hi all. I had the estate in bits and need to try and remove the bolts that are stuck from the trottle body housing x3. (before I drill them out and re-tap)

I dont have much kit as it is at dads... and I am blocking the road a bit  ;D

Any ideas... tried some brute force.. haksaw blade... and a hammer... still not playing ball.  ::)

crikey their not normally that tight but can you get any mole grips on to them to initally free them, or even bang a smaller  socket over the top to get better grip

Drill the heads off and remove the throttle body then gets some grips on the bits of stud sticking out and wind them out.

i find a cordless drill can help with spinning out studs.
Just open the chuck out over the stud, tighten the
chuck And hit reverse. Depends on access and other
Issues, i dont have mole grips,
and er ... am a bit lazy. Might help, might not. Ttfn.
