lamda quest

can anybody tell me if one of the lamda oxygen sensors was knackered would it show up on the engine managment fault light.

Possibly :-/  it may do as there is a fault code for it.

Would also perhaps show up on emmissions at MOT time.

Definative way of checking is via paperclip test as it will show up on that - codes are here > http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1160152415

thanx markie. have done a paperclip test and it shows no faults. this problem is driving me to dispair. i never thought i would say this but i now hate this piece of garbage.see prev-thread ( cutting out ) >:(

So no fault codes but eml on ?

I reckon you are barking up the wrong tree there with the Lamdas

So you have no EML light and no codes right? Does the EML glow when you turn on ignition?

Bonnet up and engine running. Head in. Can you hear any hissing? Get someone to switch off engine and listen for any odd sounding gasps just asfter shutdown
