secondary air pump

i think its the secondary air pump. under the n/s wing at the front behind the bumper.
 its been whining for a bit and  iv been trying to find a second hand one.. well its died a death, sounds like the bearings have now given up on it.. prob is i'm away in the next couple of days, can i just unplug it?? will it make any difference???

unplug it and block off SAI pipes...

Or you you could go to your local scrapyard and get one for around £20. Well that's what mine cost when it went.  :y

Disconnect for now, and sort out at your leisure, or just leave disconnected forever, it will do no harm ;)

cheers lads. this is the second one iv had, but the scrapyards don't seem to have many in.. which pipes do i have to block off??? or can i just unplug the wire???

Mine's doing the same,but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to cars. (although I did buy a 3 litre elite, so I must have some intelligence. lol)

Could someone explain in detail, exactly what I need to unplug and where it is etc.

I would be eternally grateful

I think you just need to unplug it, not block the pipes.

It just under the front nearside bumper.
