Hi all,

any thoughts or sugestions i am losing coolant from the header tank and the only signs i can see is it leaving a small patch when i park the car up.
No visable signs from the header tank, no loss of power, temp a little bit higher than normal sometimes.
It looks like it runs from the back of the block?

its a 2.6 cdx v6

helps if you fill in your profile, saves asking what engine you have and all that. Usually that amount of loss is hbv "usually". Good place to start, see if its wet after running the engine, carefull tho it can get hot in that area. If you had coolant loss and no sign of it on the floor its often one of the other possible s in the v"usually".

As above, first and easiest place to check is the heater by pass valve, after that I would say oil cooler cover or thermostat and both are located in the V of the engine.

I had to replace the HBV in mine and found that although it was fiddly, it wasn't too much of an issue.

Just wear gloves. (as mentioned in prev link)
