ac and starting gremlins
« on: 19 August 2008, 19:39:31 »

couple of times on a hot day, a while ago now, it seemed to struggle to start. I would hold the key the usual amount of time on position 3 and release back to 2 and was suprised to find... Nothing, not started, held the key longer, cranking for a  longer period and eventually chugged into life, ran rough for about 20 seconds, did pedal trick thinking crank sensor, nothing. If it was my old car i would clean the tick over valve but this is fly by wire. Its been fine in the latest crap weather.
But this morning i went to work, not touched the climate control since i drove it home last night, 20c loads of nasty warm sweaty air, and no ac. Turned it down to lo and wham- loads of freezing cold air. Back up to 20c, nice and gentle like it should be, did the hbv about a month ago, maybe the vac pipe not quite on properly? Any thoughts? Neither seem to be major problems tbh. Not yet anyway. Cheers
