Putting an R28 on a 2.5TD - will it bolt on?
« on: 29 October 2007, 23:00:59 »

I'm converting a 2.5TD auto to a manual using an MV6 as a doner car. OmegaToy uses the 3ltr clutch so I am assuming the flywheels are identical?
But will the box bolt on ok?

And would anyone be interested in a HOW2?  :y

The box should bolt up OK but I think I read somewhere that the flywheel has a different number of bolts on the TD? So you may have to get a flywheel from a TD.

have a sneaking suspicion the bellhousing bolt pattern is unique to the diesel mate, so dont think the mv6 box will bolt up but i would love to be proven wrong!!! :y

In theory yes as the two boxes share a common casing.
