Brakes, who knows where im going!
« on: 27 August 2008, 20:41:54 »

evening all

I have a bit of a problem with the brakes on the omega, when braking lightly the car is pulling right, i have done just about everything i can think of to cure it. All the brakes have been off the car, pads checked and almost new discs fine. calipers removed cleaned and seem to be in order. new braided hoses for the fronts no airlocks, new fluid...

so whats up?!
i think it might just be missing its mechanic ;D

could be a number of things but if you confident the brakes are working well and the sliders are not seized on the pulling side, the next place to look has got to be wishbone bushes. Have a search, its all there. Play in the lower suspension arm bush deflecting the wheel off line on the brakes and pulling the car off course, if your driving at 11 or 1
o clock on the s. wheel and constantly correcting the stearing most likely its the bushes. But if so, one is alot worse that the other, from what you said. They "usually" go at a comparable rate/pass side being worsed if anything. In my experience anyway. Hope helps.

Sorry to ask a simple question first, but have you checked your tyre pressures especially on the front? :-/ :-/ :-/

Looks as though you could be right, or is it something else to do with the suspension?! :-/

Another "simple" thought; could it be loose wheel nuts? :-/ :-/

Another one for you;  is it possible you allowed air into the new brake fluid, or have left the nipple bleed nut slightly open?? :-/ :-/

It is just I have found it is often the "simple" things you should check out before suspecting more major components of a car. :D ;)
