Code 19
« on: 31 August 2008, 16:34:25 »

Can a code 19 cause the engine to rev limit to 4-5000?
Seems to be bouncing off the rev limiter and bringing up a 19.
Crank sensor was changed just before Keswick for a genuine Vx item.
Any ideas anyone?

Bugger, it's only a couple of months since it was last changed.
Looks like a trip to Vx on the morrow then.

Not an old code that for some reason hasn't cleared?

Nope, had the cheapo on it and it reappears as present when the limit kicks in at 5K.
I've had a look and I think we had it routed too close to the exhaust manifold so as usual I'll be blaming the gnome for it.
So as it's his birthday on Saturday it looks like he'll be getting a new CS as a prezzy. ;D ;D

No but I'm sure she'll be getting one to bring with us. I believe chocolate is the recommended variety.

Your apprentice will be getting a job at a Vauxhall stealer at this rate. ::)

Just need to teach him how to tighten a paper oil filter canister bu663r tight with a breaker bar and diagnose all electrical faults as being "ECU faulty" and his training will be complete.  ;D
