Some bad signs of rusting on the iron cores, ha the plastic split around them?

Look like they have got much worse since the lakes!

the split ones are 1-3-5, the ones we took out at the at the lakes were 2-4-6

 :o yeah, fairly buggered, i wonder if a coating of sylicone grease would help preserve the rubber and keep them from splitting? certainly looks like water been in there. was newent that bad? did the car go through any deep water? or was the bonnet up for a while in the rain?

Not at all went through some water but not that deep
