The levelling motor is arrowed - it just twists anticlockwise on a bayonet to release...................

Just out of interest, you haven't jacked the car up recently have you?

Thanks for your help M8

No, not jacked the car up at all recently.

The Fault Warning started immeadiatly (the first time I drove the car) after I had changed the Offside side light bulb with difficulty and attempted to change the nearside, but gave up because I couldn't even pull the rubber cover off, because the gap was to small for my hand.

Both side light bulbs had been blown for some time. one of those jobs you think I must get those sorted and a few weeks later you get around to it.

Wish now I hadn't :(

The only part of the light assembley I could have disturbed at the time is what appears to be the head light feed cable with the rubber boot on it as I was trying to replace the side light bulb. But I have checked those connections and they look good. :-/

Would you mind just checking the level sensor is still attached to the wishbone? Front and rear passenger side, just peep through between the door and the wheel. Its a 2 second job and might save you a load of agro pulling your lights apart. We can stop bothering you with it then. It will be a hell of a coincidence tho, unless the side light check was masking the field of vision warning?

Thanks for a quick response :y

Is that the one with the flex cable with a rubber boot entering sideways into the plastic housing?

No, that sounds like the HID feed....the motor is further down.

mark is that the link arm on front wishbone that links to the sensor :question

Yes item 13 :y

Can item 13 - the link arm - be purchased separately?  Mine has snapped.

Yes, part number 9117095 :y

thx Mark and alex.   :y

I agree with Chris - easy to check and they seem to have a tendency to come off , or snap in my case >:(
