2 button key fob new/repair
« on: 25 September 2008, 19:50:03 »

Hi all,
my key fob is getting on my nerves!  >:( Quite embarrassing when in a car park, the fob not working and then opening the car via the lock with alarm going off when opening the door.  :-[

I found a thread that a Martin Imber does a repair job on those fobs.  As I have two fobs, one working occasionally and one not working at all it might be worth having a refurb done on them. Unfortunately I couldn't find him in the member list.  :question

Any recommendations where to buy a new one and do not invest a fortune?

With the three key fob from which I understood that this third button opens the boot: What work is involved to get that function on board?

Would be grateful for recommendations!

Really? I think its a pain in the arse myself. If the boot popped fully open i think that would be an improvement over the pre f l model which was easier, just lift the boot by the handle. Face lift, hand in pocket press button, but not too quickley after removing from ignition or it wont work, AND then lift boot by the handle. Dont see how its an impotenent over the old boot button?
