warning lights problem
« on: 30 September 2008, 10:26:38 »

Help I have a 2.2 omega auto petrol which has been showing a warning light 10 mins after starting to drive. The light is a car with a spanner through it.
Checks with a friends code reader found a sensor fault previously which was resolved but reader now shows no faults, I AM TRYING TO AVOID GIVING THE VX DEALER £60/£80 JUST FOR INFO.
Any suggestions would be welcome

Don't think the pedal trick works with the 2.2's only 2.6 and 3.2.  Think you'll need to get your hands on a code reader.

Common faults for the 2.2 is the cam sensor but without the codes being read it's just a stab in the dark.

did i see hotel 21(admin on here) now has tech 2?
2.2 can not be flashed as far as we know.
Tech 2/code reader only.

How far are you from Hotel21 - he has a Tech2 which will read the codes better than generic readers, and I bet he will be a lot cheaper than any dealer to read them.
