Where on EARTH
« on: 13 October 2008, 22:12:46 »

Does anyone have any idea where the main engine earth point is please . The cable comes off the battery and into the trunking along  the cam belt cover thats where I lose it . Just asking so I can check its clean and tight .
I did the one under the battery tray the other week since then the problems I was having with the temp gauge and tc light have gone away  :-X

There are 3 on the back of the 2-4-6 cylinder head.

Are you having any other issues?

I think that cable runs to the alternator, when doing my cam belt i noticed what looked like a half inch wide piece of tape sitting on the under tray on the right running from the engine to radiator area, when i went to remove it i found it was bolted on and was, when all the dust and muck was removed, a braided steel cable. I presumed that was the Earth?

Nah....it attaches to the ancillary mount between the PAS pump and aircon compressor.
