Right i now have a rough quote on the cost of a LPG conversion from a company near me.

All Prices in GBP from EUR at an exchange rate of

1 British Pound =  1.44011 Euro

1 Euro (EUR) = 0.69439 British Pound (GBP)

4 Cylinder between   1,388.78 and 1,597.10

6 Cylinder between   1,597.10 and 1,944.29

This company are not the cheapest in Germany, the cheapest  are all in Berlin, but then you pay more to get there.

The Company does not usually fit themselves,  would though for our Members.

I agree with you totaly on the price of this, it´s even cheaper than that in the UK.

The thing that makes it so expensive is the fact that it has to be checked and Tested by the local Authority (TÜV) before recieving a good bill of Health, and the Appropriate Documentation.

it is allways difficult to get things done Abroad and then take back to the UK. What will they say to it on the MOT, as all changes need to be Authorised.

I have no idea about the cost, or Documentation necessary for such a Conversion, so i hope that someone could Enlighten me.

All i have done is to just get a Quote for  a Member that asked me too.

All i do know, is that you are not allowed to fit such a conversion without the Engineers checking it out afterwards.(In Germany that is)

I did ask in garage where always my car have done MOT, what if I will do LPG in Poland? He said if the instalation have the switch Petrol/LPG (every one have) then is no problem, because car will be test only on the petrol, and they dont care about LPG.
But with LPG from Poland is no problem to register here: if I will install the LPG in english car, I will get every necessary documents  to register in UK. In Poland conversion is can be made only in special garages (is milions in PL), and then must go on special MOT, and then must be registered in Log book. And of course the LPG is being check on every one MOT(It cost 100PLN for petrol car and 170PLN for car with LPG).

This sounds good, do you know anyone that has had this done and gone to Germany, as there are loads of Poles here.

I am thinking of getting it done too if possible.

Thanks Steve.

No I didn't. But I think, is non sens drive to Germany, and pay lot more, if You can drive few hundreds km more and do in PL for 600 quid ;)
I am now confused, becouse I like in my Passat just one think-MPG and range on tank, what is important for me when I do travel to PL. But I know VW was my mistake-I hate this shit and now I want have Omega FL. And is problem, because the engine which I wish have in Omega for some reason wasn't offer in England >:( It's 2.5 DTI. So next down is 2.2 DTI-and I think will be too weak in heavy Omega, and the MPG will be not good as in Passat. So I have idea, to buy next V6-I love this engine, but I hate the MPG :P So the solution for, is LPG, of course done in PL.  And after I let know how what and how :y
