tickover settings

i have a 2.0 ltr omega what should the tickover be set at i.e rpm mine is 500 but keeps stalling by the way its an auto

2.0l should be a bit higher. Its electronically controlled by ecu, so check for airleaks etc first, also clean idle control valve.
