Back from The Lakes
« on: 04 November 2007, 11:41:29 »

Had a fantastic week (apart from sitting on the M6 for an hour & half yesterday  :( ).

Did loads of sightseeing & drove some amazing mountain passes (SWMBO has made me promise never to take her along anything like them again  ::)).

Haven't got time to catch up now (inlaws are on their way  ::) ) so will do later in the week.

A few pics (taken on my phone).

I'm so tired I could do with a holiday ;D

The colours were wonderful & we mostly had pretty good weather.
The locals say it's the best time to go because it's no where near as busy & a lot easier to get around as I found out, 731 miles in total & it's 412 there & back so I did over 300 around the lakes!

I've only ever been in the Autumn and it is truly spectacular as you can see from the pics. I am very jealous.  :)

Me and the wife go up there for long weekends quite often normally around November or February. It is a nice part of the country :y
