engine management light ??

Blatting down motorway today and when i eased of i.e. had to brake the light came on and went off again when back on throttle.Normal or not,didn't get an owners manual with the car so at a loss.Thanks :)

ps, sure its not the brake pad low warning? just a thought, never seen it myself :-/

Been told before by VX Dealer that if the light comes on and goes off again suddenly theres not too much to worry about as they do that sometimes........something to do with ecu self checking itself when the cars being given some stick and pushed beyond its normal driving limits.
Thats what they said anyway...!!
I know it wont record anything on the fault coding unless the lights stayed on for a few seconds.

Mine does this sometimes. TB checked the stored codes and the only one I had was for an O2 sensor.
Mine flashes and goes away. He reckoned - either a crank sensor (not logged) or the connection to the O2 sensor was dodgy.

As it happens, it's not done it since the exhaust was changed a month ago, so perhaps they moved the wire.

So "beyond its normal driving limits" I take to mean if was going at 200mph on water  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You mean to say that is not normal??!! :o :o :o  Blimey, that's what I have been doing wrong when hammering down the M4. M5, M20, etc in the rain!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)
