Horn - disappointing 'parp' !
« on: 11 November 2008, 09:09:31 »

So my Omega has a rubbish 'parp' sound for a horn....reminds me of an '02 Vectra we bought new a few years back......can the horn be replaced ? Don't want anything crazy, but a basic two-tone horn would be perfect.....

most if not all miggys have 2 horns that are situated in front of the n/side wheel under splash guard, if you put after market ones on you will probably have to adapt the wiring as the miggy has oval weatherproof type plugs.

Two horns ? Meaning two-tone ? My horn is very much just a single tone - that is what I want to change.....so perhaps a replacement Omega horn is the job ?

I think they should be something like a 400Hz & a 500Hz horn.

standard horns i find are loud enough, made some people jump when they pull out in front of me.

I find full beam, plus a long blast has the desired effect = get out of the bloody way!  ;D
