Airbag issue ?? is this correct??

hi peeps........i want to fit a smaller steering wheel, and ive been told that if i do, obviously i will lose the drivers airbag - but they also say that the passenger and side airbags will NOT be armed/operational.........is this true??  hhmmm - TIA :y

The the SRS detects a fault (which it will if no airbag) it will disable the entire system.

You will have to inform insurance company that you are disabling vital safety systems.

there are steering wheel bosses that are made for airbag equipped cars, they supply a lead of some sort to compensate for the removal of the airbag, couldnt say if it puts the light out or not though ;)
