Upgrading engine

I dont know how and i dont know why but i am considering changing the engine in my Elite, its got a 2.5 in at the moment, what would i need to change it to a 3.2 i.e. what would need changing and what would i need (the engine first of course)  :D ;D

If you are hell bent on a bigger engine. Then seeing as you have 2.5 heads I'd get the 3.0 engine.

3.0 cams in 2.5 heads...then fit the modded 2.5 heads to the 3.0 engine.

Have more grunt than a 3.2 I reckon.

changing to 3.0l will be much easier. Changing to 3.2 will involve loads more work for no gain.

Can anyone confirm ?

Loks like i will go for the 3.0, so what is involved in changing to a 3.0 ? what would need changing ?

engine ecu and matching fob/ gearbox ecu and central locking ecu- which i happen to have :P

ar35 or manual box same as what 3.0 has

-you have to disconnect drive shaft at gearbox, take the cross beam off of the back of the g/box
-disconnect pipes to heater matrix
-disconnect plugs between body and engine looms!
might be a good idea to take the rad out while your swapping engines as the engine usually swings towards the rad area when it comes free off the steering rack

and anything else anybody can think of
