Help Required (non start)
« on: 15 November 2008, 16:07:02 »

Hi all, having had my Omega 3.0 V6 for a year now but never been on the road yet (ongoing project) starts first time everytime the day i NEED to move it, it refuses to start ! [smiley=angry.gif] Problem is no power at fuel pump but fuel pump IS ok (tried direct feed and all is ok, starts straight away) so make me suspect fuel pump relay. Would you agree with my thoughts or am i jumping to the wrong conclusion too quickly ?  [smiley=undecided.gif]

Regards, Jimmy S.

Agree with James...although 19 doesnt always come up when the crank shaft sensor fails...but more than likely crank shaft sensor...more than likely will have a code 19...and may (if your lucky) decide to start on occasions if its not completely failed yet...

if your not getting fault code 19 then it's worth checking on the passenger side bank spark plugs to see if it's full of oil in the plug well-
checked mine today and 2 were more like oil wells than plug wells :P

I would think the same as you my friend. As it starts with a direct feed from the fuel pump then I would imagine its the relay. Crankshaft sensor wouldn't allow the car to start at all. But having said that you could try a new relay first and see what happens.
