How do you remove the wipers, i tred earlier today but had to pop out, once the nut is off the wiper, how do they come off? Is there a clip to remove?

To remove wipers just remove the nut then pull the wiper off the windscreen then the wiper should just lift off - if not lever the bugger off with a crowbar ;D

one hand on the bolt end of the arm and pull, with other hand,on the arm below the hinge , push pull push pull until the wiper arm comes off. Its just leverage, no tools needed. :y

The way i have found to remove any wiper, on lorries, coaches and cars is, to undo the nut, then give it a thump asthough you were hitting it up the windscreen in the way it would wipe the windscreen...hope that makes sense

To do it properly, you need to remove the skuttle.

If your going to put carb cleaner in the breather box at the rear left of the engine, then you should change the oil and filter, so I would say about a couple of hours. As for how well the car will run afterwards, that depends if they have been cleaned out regularly, if they have, then there will probably be no difference, if they haven't, when you clean them, the car should run smoother and there will be less chance of the cam cover gaskets letting go ;)
