« on: 25 November 2008, 23:17:44 »

I have a problem with the alarm power sounder i have been reserching it and understand they have batterys inside mine doesnt sound any more i had considerd getting a horn and wireing it in but it apears that it would not work the other option is to cut it open and replace the batterys i am told it is coded to the car and if you disconect it it wil need a tech 2 recode any idears.

Not coded, a few breakers on here, they might have one. But most just unplugg the bugger.

If the batteries are gone then it's best to unplug it and take it out as there have been instances of these going  on fire - it's probaly not worth replacing and certainly dont try and replace the batteries as they are sealed units. See the maintenance guide on how to unplug/take out.
