how will the test show me the where fault is
You have 2 options:

1, Spend hundreds on a new ECU and then come back when you have a car that still doesn't run, or

2 Do the pedal test, post the results up on here and take the advice. This option is free and Mr DTM is rarely wrong ;)

When a fault is detectd, the ECU stores an error code.

By reading the codes using the pedal trick we can get a better idea of the real fault and ensure you get the right part to solve your issue
