I would recommend www.buypartsby.com for your wishbones, about £50 delivered.

Ebay Idlers are ok as long as you are paying £30+ avoid LMF though - utter 5hite! (imo)

Platty

Platty - do the buypartsby ones come with bushes as well? I couldn't be sure from the pics on the site.
Have these on mine. All complete and ready to go. They don't look sgnificantly cheaper than the outgoing ones. And they are tapped for the level sensor if you have one.

Aha! That's another thing I was wondering - I have an elite with HIDs - so I assume I have a level sensor too. Can you tell I haven't been under the car yet? (apart from the WIM visit, when tony was telling me I needed parts, and all I could think of was the cost)  :y

You actually have 2 for the HIDs ;) Front near side & rear near side.

Well there is another on the rear OFF side but that's for your self levelling suspension.  :y  :y

You should have. If you look at the sides of the rear shockers you'll find thin plastic tubesattached which, if you crawl under your car lead back to the front off side of your car (under the bumper/wing) where you'll find a compressor. If you load up the back of the car and start up you should hear the compressor kick up after a few moment and run for up to a minute or so till the rear comes back up to normal. It's not unkown though for previous owners to fit cheaper non levelling damper due to the percieved costs of OE dampers. (like mine was  :()

Me? Senile? er.... what was I doing here again?  ;D

I've driven my girlfriend nuts this weekend because all I've gone on about is the car. Mind you, when I know that it has to have the following done at some point soon:

Cambelt
Cam Cover Gaskets
Breather clear out
Oil change(s)
Front Wishbones
Steering Idler
At least one front hub (probably both)
Four tyres
Wheels refinishing

then you can understand why I may be coming across as a bit senile!  :y

Anyway, thanks for all the help, gents. It gives me a lot of comfort to know that there are like minded types out there who can point me in the right direction when it comes to work on my lovely mig.  :)

P.S. I'm 38, so not THAT young!
