Hi folks, sorry I've been MIA but had some serious IT issues at home   Anyway on to my question... Is there a different manual box for the 2.5 and 3.0 engines? I've been offered a totalled (rear end smash) 2.5 manual saloon and I'm toying with the idea of manualising mine. I can get all the bits I need off the donor car as long as the gearbox will cope with the 3.0.

I have a decent manual 3.0 box here if your interested...in fact I have 2! Might cope with an R25, but then might not! lol

easy mate !! its only 30ftlbs of torque difference ! just in middle of swapping a 3.0 for a 2.5

Must admit I dont get why on the auto box its a 350Nm box vs 250Nm on the 2.5, but with the manual the 3.0 box is as said, only a little more torque max...why isnt the 3.0 manual box R35?? Cant see the engine being any different torque wise on a manual to an auto??

Also another thing...why do all the manual boxes say R25/R28...how are you supposed to know which is which?? Do they have a different part number??

6 speed! That would be nice Pricey though I bet!

Had to let the car go anyway, after splashing out on new PC parts I can't afford this atm so I'll start looking again after xmas.
