Any thoughts? Smoke from under the bonnet - DTi
« on: 09 December 2008, 15:42:43 »

I recently did a 2 mile trip from (very) cold - when I stopped there was smoke coming from under the bonnet, like exhaust smoke and seemed to smell vaguely of diesel.
Seemed to be mostly around the front offside.

Car is a 2.2DTi and generally seems to run OK, not excessively smokey.

Any thoughts and pointers welcome!

A smoke screen is handy for bank robbing I guess - thanks again Mark

We pm ed a few months back about sorting out a spare key for my car - I have a couple of fobs and I would need these programming plus blades.

Let me know if you're interested - obviously I'd expect to be paying you, any legwork needed I can try and complete in advance for you.

There is a diesel powered heater under the drivers front wing....in cold weather it runs, burning diesel to heat the water system up faster

Yeah, all that smoke can get a few heads looking at you if you pull into a petrol station on a freezing cold morning!
