Air leak (smallish) and poorer throttle response.

The idle valve is the big item on the right side at the front of the plenum witha two wire electrical connector on it.

Look at the pipe that connects to it and travels off to the big trombones in front of the engine where it joins just in front of the throttle bodies.

This rubber pipe has a T in it just in front of the idle valve with a  smaller pipe that runs across the passenger side cam cover and should connect to the fuel reg.

Hmm....maybe I've connected it to something else. Damn. I was hoping that my old man could swap the leads and then take it off to be MoT'd. Do you think that this will effect the emmissions? I guess that i could just mention it to the garage and ask them to fit it properly.

well just fitted all the leads in the correct order and also connected the idel control valve/petrol regulator. Still won't fire up. Turns over and coughs and splutters without firing. Checked and double checked every connection. Paperclip test revealed no error codes. :(

Got the car running now (wrong lead order again....) but the misfire is still present. Time to starting hunting for a cheap DIS pack I guess?
