Removing Centre Console Trim - Facelift
« on: 18 December 2008, 12:43:01 »

Hi Folks,

I'm in the process of removing the centre console trim (the bit that goes around the climate control unit and the switches on the dash) so I can get rid of the holes where the police equipment was fitted.

I've got it unscrewed from the dash, and removed the climate control unit, but can't disconnect the plugs from the back of the switches?

How on earth do you get them out?!  >:(  I've managed to disconnect one green plug which just pulled out, but the rest aren't budging.

And the big blue one that goes to the TC and boot release switches fits into grooves which run from left-to-right  :-?  How can this be the case if it's meant to push onto the switch connectors from behind?  But again, it ain't budging...

Anybody any suggestions on how to disconnect them?

some of the switchs need to be pulled out from the front very carefully so not to damage them if you look carefully at them you can see how they are held into place i now as i did the same when i got my ex plod mv6 ,some as said need to be pulled out to slide the plug at the rear others need to be pulled at the back while holding in or out small lugs that stop them falling of and can be a pain to get to but is doable ;)just hth
