My new van.
« on: 08 November 2007, 17:12:29 »

As i work for the honda factory in swindon i get a new van every 10 months or so.
As the 10 months had run out on this 1.
Civic type s 1.8

So in it's place is this 1.
Civic 2.2 diesal.

It's surprising what you can fit into a car that you dont worry about. Also why mess my megga up.

Alright for some!! ::)

I actually quite like these new Honda Civics and I'd CERTAINLY like their fuel economy compared to my beast! ;)

I put £30 into it when i picked it up and the display says i should get 378 miles which im well chuffed with.
Also it goes so much better than the petrol 1.
I will take a pic of inside when it's light enough out side.

Its quite a good looking car,  :y

did anyone see the 2 comparisons on Fifth Gear?

they compared the European one to the Japanese one.

One hell of a difference.

I really like the design of the new Civic, very futuristic bodyshell. I would be interested in the drag coefficiancy figures, i'll wager it's very low.

TBH, the first time I saw one of these, I thought Ford Scorpio!  Not a likeness in vision, but, an attempt at shocking the market, Ford failed, Honda didn't... they've grown on me..

They have grown on me 2 as this is the 3rd ive had now.
One little problem is that it needs a bigger spoiler on the diesals because.
A) none of these shap civic's are easy to park as you cant judge the room behind/in front of you.(bad visabillaty)
B) As the diesal can do well over 130 mph (on a private road Hondas test track) the back end gets very loose and flicks out which then gives you the 20p 50p test through your backside.
Apart from that nice to drive and alot of toqua aswel.

There ok to work for it all depends what the group of people you have to be with every day are like.
Also you have to learn to switch and work the honda way until home time.
As i said i would here are some in side shots.

Do you realy need 4 sreens to keep an eye on.

One thing makes me wonder.

Did Honda choose Swindon due to large amount of skilled fitters and engineers out of work?

As to GB I used to live in Gloucester!!!!
