it should be 5.75 (from memory) the oil from empty and then just top up as required to get it to the full mark on the dipstick and the engine coolant is either 8 or 10 litres from empty

Yup - 5.75 litres of 10w40 semi synth VX Oil - TC prices are dirt cheap though I paid £20 odd quid for 5 litres from my local stealer!

Coolant is 10 litres on my 2.6 - 50/50 red VX coolant and water. VX coolant comes in 5 litre container for about 13 quid (I really out to get a trade card).

I have a trade card so will buy VX semi synth. They have a deal on 20 litres at the minute but that seems like overkill.

How often should I be changing the oil? Every 12 months? Assume if I bought 20 litres it would still be ok to use in 12 months?

General recommendation on here is to do it every 3k miles, so I'd get 20 litres if I were you. Is that the 'buy 3, get 1 free' deal on TC?

No idea on shelflife of oil but I assume it would be OK after a year - no doubt someone will correct me if i'm wrong.
