« on: 03 January 2009, 20:25:27 »

Did look in the FAQ's but no joy, i know how to remove the panel but when unblocking the tube do you wack a hose down it or a pressure washer?

Also the tube channels off to somwhere, is there a know how to guide on this please?

If you open the cover and shine a torch down you will see what crud is in there.  If the car is regularly parked under a tree or similar, good chance of leave buildup so better putting a hand down there to get as much of the fibre stuff out as poss.  Then blast the fekker with the power washer, just make sure you keep your face out the way to save tasting the backsplash!!...    ;D

You talking about the pollen filter?  Its on the pass side, lift the eng comp rubber across the bulkhead beside the bonnet hinge/strut and lift the scuttle panel, filter etc is underneath...

In that case, best leave the powerwasher trick for later....

 ;D

Link given earlier refers to the pollen filter area though....

I take it  it's only a couple of inches deep then?

It gave me a clue as when i got the car there is a dry water patch around that hole, the other side is perfect as i did that other day!

I just didnt know if this hole on the drivers side channeled off anywhere else into the body of the car!

Drivers side tube is only an inch or so long - poke your finger through it, or it will come out.

And i take it this hole drains into the bulk area and then drains into pollen filter drain the other side of the vehicle and out ?
