I memory serves me, the orange plastic bit takes the braking loads, so that makes it towards the centre of the car, I believe.

I can have a look at my old ones tonight.

wishbones are still on the car and i dont think that mehanic who will put them in will be interested or will know what to look for so i would rather know that before so i can mention to him that. mehanic here, spetially the ones who doo you something in favor dont bother to do it correctly they yust want to do that and send you off  >:(

haynes is telling "enduring that the recessed section of the bush is aligned with the bracket boss as shown"

but the title is FINAL drive unit damping bushes??? so that is for rear side i supose

so if someone can putt those words in some less complicating to me, and if someone has wishbone to look at it

if you were to stand in front of the car looking at the bonnet, that bush  would be on the rhs wishbone,as pictured.

so you are telling me that as picture stands it would be on the right wishbone if i'm facing the bonnet ( left side  when in car) and yellow plastic faces to the other wheel?

From the pic, it looks like if has Meyle bushes(maybe), which are considered superior to the vx items, and are what i have fitted.

do you have suitable drifts to press them with? Easy to damage the bush without them.
