Changing radiator this weekend
« on: 07 January 2009, 13:23:56 »

Looking in the engine bay, there are 2 pipes that appear to be from the air-con that go over the top of the radiator on the LHS thereby preventing removal, do i really have to drain the air-con system to remove these 2 pipes in order to remove the radiator??
The car is 2002 CD autobox (facelift)

They sounds like the pipes to the autobox cooler......so no, no need to crain the aircon setup (these pipes run near the battery tray)

Mark,
Not the battery tray side, these 2 metal pipes run up the rear of the rad from below the header tank side of the engine bay where they connect to black rubber pipes, over the top of the coolant rad and down in between the coolant and air con radiators.

Just re-read your original message, the air con lines are over by the battery, so the oil cooler pipes are the other ones on the header tank side of the engine bay.... Thank You...
