Must admit I feels so proud when I see all the Old Men with their Medals.
My Grandad was a "Desert Rat".....but I do wonder if it is all worth it?

People who haven't been in the services can only imagine how close you become to your mates. They really are your family.

I'll spare a thought for my father-in-law who's in Kandaha at the moment.  :(

He got a bullet in the chest from a sniper a month or two ago. Luckily the armour stopped it. Puts my life and the odd minor inconveniences I come across into their proper perspective.

Not a situation I could imagine coping with at all so I'm humbled by all those, past and present, who have done.

I mourn for my Friends that were lost in different Theatres  all over the world.

I Honestly donīt need remembrance Sunday to remind me, but i think thats its good that they are not forgotten.

Many men have given their life for Just causes, some for not so just, but all were brave Men who deserve to be remembered.

My thoughts and good wishes go to the Familys  who are left behind.

I am no longer capable of going to the Parades, the holding back of the Tears after watching young Children and Grandfathers marching  is just too much.

IMHO yes.....

The people who lost their lives did so to stop someone else enforcing their beliefs/ways of life upon us. it is right to question is it worth it, but the answer will always be yes

I hate to get serious .. but if it wasn't for the folks who gave "The Supreme Sacrifice" in 2 world wars, and numerous other smaller but no less serious "incidents", we, and numerous others, would not have half the "rights and freedoms" we take for granted every day.

The memory of what they gave their lives for, and how we enjoy those freedoms, must never be allowed to be devalued.

The sight of our "Prime Minister" apparently sleeping at the end of last nights Remberance Service on BBC TV appalled me.

I could go on as today is always a bit emotional to me ... but suffice it to say...

"We will remember them"
