If it's due spark plugs it's also probably due timing belt and rollers as well, also consider water pump. Yes I know you said basic service but plugs last as long as the timing belt pulleys.

Thanks guy's only bought the car this week and the garage changed the cam belt, tensioners etc but did'nt do a service.  the vehicle had been SORN'd since last January so I think  the basic service is called for don't you.

Brakes and Tyres seem ok plus a new MOT was done.

Cheers

be a bit thirsty if it was 26.6   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'd do a brake service (just clean them up, see if all OK), but also a brake fluid change.

Breather clean (may need some new O rings) may be worthwhile, as its true history is unknown.  Same applies to coolant, change it.

Thanks someone else mention cleaning the breathers as there was a creamy deposit on the oil filler cap this morning.  however I don't think I can do this myself and this will have to be a garage job unfotunately

No, but plenum needs to come off to do the throttle body (which you'd do at same time).  Nice and easy.

Take up Entwood's offer to point you in right direction - you'll only need to be shown once :y

You will get a proper job if you do it yourself.  Most dealers and garages give you a half-arsed job at best.  Don't think for a second that you get a premium job just because you pay premium money at a dealer...
