Online tax return
« on: 11 November 2007, 18:18:58 »

I have to do one of these, before end of Jan  >:(

I did some semi self employed work last year.

Question is, I think I need some sort of once-annually payslip, which I don't have  :-/

Now... the tax return that I need to complete by 31 Jan 08 - I'm guessing this will be for the period of April 06 to April 07?

If you are self employed, remember and claim for all expenses you incurred in doing the job. Any miles claim 40p/mile, plus any materials you had to buy. This will reduce the income on what youhave to pay tax, so with luck you might get a rebate  :y

I doubt you will need to submit the P60 - its just a useful summary of what you have been paid and any tax already deducted.   Otherwise you'll have to add up your payslips.

I'd get it out of the way.  You don't want to find on Jan 31 that you're missing something else..
