We're all banging on about the exhaust here.....the suspension and brakes are probably shot

]Exhaust bandage is prob a fail[/highlight], but the manifold gasket shouldn't be. They run it warm all the time to do the emissions test.

Ive been told....as long as the bandage isnt leaking its ok......but are MOT testers on this site still present to tell me for sure   :-/

AFAIK if its gas tight, ie not blowing it will pass the MOT. But with yours being a private hire test I don't have a clue, up here they can fail for having different coloured panels so anythings possible depending on what the council stipulate I suppose.

Its normal MOT....plus stupid things like....first aid kit.....fire extinguisher....clean car.....inside and out

bandage will be OK as long as it's not blowing, and the exhaust is secure.
