demister problem
« on: 20 January 2009, 18:22:57 »

hope someone can help with a problem that has just occurred.all of a sudden my demisters have stopped working and there is a lot of water on the floor behind the passeger seat.i'm certain that no water is coming in from sunroof or an open window.do any water pipes run in that vicinity?some airflow seems to come from the vents when recirculatory button is pressed.auto button doesn't seem to work now.any ideas appreciated.car is 2.6cdx estate 2001.

try looking in behind the scuttle, where the pollen filter is, You may find its clogged and the water is spilling thru the polen filter into the car. an easy fix  :y

Sounds like the pollen filter drain is blocked.  Under bonnet, passenger side below windscreen, under the black plastic thing the wipers come out of.  Lift the flap, shine a torch down the hole and bet its full of water....

edit - must type faster...

Heres a link to a howtoo...    :y
