climate control
« on: 23 January 2009, 13:51:37 »

I am about to remove the dash panel to change bulbs, so thought it would be a good time to tackle another problem at the same time. I used to be able to set the temp at 21 degrees and the climate control would do the rest. However, since the system was re-gassed, I often have to set it at "Hi" to get any hot air, although the engine temp is normal. Could it be the internal temp sensor at fault? Where is it located? Or could it be a PCB in the climate control?

I would be grateful for any help with this.

Could be the sampler fan in the panel itself not working properly.

In this weather dont run the aircon all the time, set the eco button on. See if that makes any difference.

The sampling fan is shown on the bottom of this:

What purpose does the sampler fan serve. Changed all bulbs last year & meant to check sampler fan at same time. Forgot till i put climate panel back in place & couldnt be bothered to take it out again. Seems to work ok but first car with climate control so its all new to me.

Sampler fan allows the aircon system to sample the cabin temp to adjust the heater output to whatever you set it at?
