cambelt and engine management light

hi, I just had the cam belt and tensioner and the water pump changed on my omega 2.6 2002 auto lpg. For some reason the moment i switch the car on to gas it starts shivering or rough idling or hunting as its called sometimes and the engine management light comes on. This did not happen prior to me sending the car to the garage for the belt etc. the moment i switch it back to petrol it idles better but is still shivering slightly. the moment i drive it its perfect. It only shivers or idles slightly rough when in neutral or in park mode. According to the engine code it says misfire cylinder 1. all of this only happens around 500rpm basically when it is idling. the moment i rev it its fine. My mechanic reckons since the car runs on lpg the plugs are probably on their way out and i need a new set of plugs. is that true or iam i looking at some other expenditure

 Have a look for any missing vac pipes or splits, then have a check for oil in the plug wells *mumbles something about having been advised to do this on his own car*? Depends how mechanically confident you are... :y

thanks! il get them checked first thing Monday morning, is it ok to drive the car in the meantime or should i just leave it till then.

Who did the cambelt - was it the proper cambelt kit, set up with the correct setting tools?

it was a garage here in cardiff, the parts were bought from vx dealership and yea he had the proper locking tools n things.

i just hope that iam not in for a big expenditure with this car, would it be something to do with the cambelt? because on acceleration the car is absolutely fine no issues

Are you sure he had the proper V6 specific kit, rather than a generic locking kit? :y
