Rear Subby Bushes, Upgrade options
« on: 26 January 2009, 16:05:37 »

Following recent events and Marks DTM suggesting I upgrade to Senny bushes, I was wondering if anyone has ever made solid ones? I have only had a brief look, but I gather there is 4 the same and they are easy enough to change? Anyone got any pics? How much better are the senny ones?

Cheers  :y  :)

senator bushes are solid, no void holes, much better than omega items, would have thought polly for your game though.

the omega ones are such a stupid idea, kind of reminds me of something I heard once,

How do you cut the cost of making a donut (the kind you eat) but keeping the outside the same size?... make the hole in the middle bigger!

just asking for movement and premature failure

My next lot will be senator ones.

tend to agree tbh, only seem to be good for passengers, comfort and complete detachment from the road surface, all else is a pain to the driver. Mine failed in the bonding to the metal cup on the reverse.

Pix of subby bushes in poly & rubber

pix of bush in sub frame

part number if you need it

its a firmer ride if you fit them & driving over cobble stone roads would mean a trip to the dentist to have your fillings replaced  ;D but it tightens up the rear of the car nicely, poly the front wishbone bush (larger one) as well & its a different car  :y :y

Ah! Cheers chaps!  :y

Got poly/solid ones (dont ask!) on my 200sx comp car, where do they come from for these then? And what else can you get in poly for these 'megas?
I had a Saab 9000 turbo a few years back and polying the whole thing made an incredible amount of difference! Very very interested!  :y

could well be, maybe worth wiping the triangular plates off and stick a bar/screw driver in the metal spacer to lever it about, see if its split or come away from the metal cup.
Keep meaning to ask the torque settings for the bolts, anyone?

Ps stick a jack under the trailing arm to hold it in place while you check. If its ok youll be moving the arm for no reason other wise, may affect the set up, which may need re doing if you do change the bushes, "may"...
