Water in the Spark Plugs - Pictures Added
« on: 25 January 2009, 23:08:08 »

Hello Everyone.

Today got misfire and found water in the 3/4 spark plugs.
There is a drain hole on the top of the last plug (in the plastic bellow the windscreen) also the plastic sponge is full of water.

Any ideas ??? What is blocked ??

Thanks a lot

Sure,

The hole is on the plastic. located above the ecotec cover.Next to the windscreen

Looks like should have some kind of pipe or tube.

The only drain holes I am aware of are driver`s side under scuttle and passenger side under scuttle where the pollen filter lives. :-/

PS "Scuttle" = black plastic under windscreen :y

I think when the seals around the windscreen wiper spindles aren't fitting correctly, water seems to seep through wetting the sponge sound buffer then leak onto the plenum or where ever it can. Can't think of the hole your on about though

The 2nd picture on the maintenance guide "Spark Plug Change for a 2.2 Facelift" shows the black sponge (mine is full of water) but don' shows the hole. Can I take a picture here ?

Sorry english is not my first language.

I think should be a kind of plastic tube or pipe to drain the water coming from it.

Missed possibly.

First was oil, cleaned, changed the gasket, now is it. Driving me nuts
