But as it costs a fortune to buy tyres for miggies...
i am just enquiring to see if anyone can answer this?
I have an mv6 with 235 x 45 x 17", if i bought a pair of 245 x 45 x 17", would they fit??
As they are considerable cheaper at my local fitters.[/size]

no i dont think they will fit the 235 standard tyres are preety much on the width limit i think if you look at the front strutts you can see there isnt much clearance there already! so  with 245s im sure they will rub the front arches lock 2 lock!

also the rolling cirumferance of the wheel is incorrect if you want 245 size tyres then the profile will have to be dropped to 35 to keep things balanced!

so 245 35 17s are the correct size! but weather they scrub or not i dont know!

225 50 17s fit tho and they are cheaper my car understeared a bit with them on tho :y

i think you can get away with upto 255's on those mv6 wheels ;) was on about having 255's on the back before i got rid of most of my omega stuff

thanks for the reply guys i did think 245 wasn't that much of a difference, 5mm either side.

I just bought 4 new tyres that size , Falken ZE912's . I asked around and plenty of people rate them highly and they are cheaper than the performance Falken FK452s I currently use. I paid £62 per tyre from camskill.

Just need to arrange a trip to WIM now to get them fitted and the geo sorted....

they're 285's i think but they're 8 inch wide none standard mv6 wheels

they're a little too wide....
I was looking at either 245 or 255, but only for the back, keep the 235's on the front
