electric puzzler

this is driving me crazy every time i press the brakes the brake light warning comes on i've replaced the bulb and cleaned the contacts, now when i switch the ignition off with my foot on the brake pedal the n/s front  sidelight comes on and the engine keeps ticking over  :-?

If you use non vx bulbs they dont seem to like it and give this message.

Cars are extremely sensitive to the correct lamps being fitted for some reason.  Gen VX ones seem to throw less problems....   :y

Halfrauds bulbs can cause these issues.  Check bulb contact on base bulb clean.
