Alarm Problem
« on: 16 February 2009, 12:20:47 »

Can somebody help me with an alarm problem on my 2.6 Omega CD

Whilst driving along the other day we could hear an alarm, although it was not the sound of the horn and the hazard flashers were not coming on.

It did it again this morning whilst it was parked outside. I opened the door the alarm kept going. I started the engine and the alarm still kept going.

I am at a loss to know what this is, as the sound it makes is not connected to the horn of the car, but it does come from within the bonnet.

Any one help please chaps?

Thanks

Thank you all for your help

I think I can disconnect it either by myself or get Mr Dusty to do it

One last thing if the power sounder is disconnected does that mean that the alarm won't work. Not that I am bothered

Thanks Dusty :-* :-* :-*

The alarm should be ok but you may need to test it itself as my alarm horn was duff i.e the hazards just flash when you set the alarm off.

They are next to each other so easier to replace it while your are in there.
