blowing exhaust
« on: 20 February 2009, 20:27:25 »

Had a  look under the car today,as i think the exhaust is blowing.Turns out that the cats are starting to rot. What are these like to change on the 3.2,as it looks a bit of a pain to get to the downpipe flange bolts.

16mm on the earlier ones...did they change them for the facelifts?

Will probably need some sort of extension on your ratchet as they tend to be held on pretty tight!! I use a piece of scaffolding tube

Oh and most likely will need long reach 16mm socket...which quite handily happens to the the smaller of the 2 spark plug sockets...
