rear suspension collapst!!!

N reg 3.0 elite
passenger side rear right down??
not had a real good look yet, any ideas what this could be, heard no bangs when happened!
this car does have a wire or something goin to rear shock,  are these self level or something else.. any sugestions or idea will be great..

You need to jack it up and get the wheel off then inspect the spring.
You could post some pictures so we could see the problem

yea gonna do that tomorrow, just dont seem like a spring, unless its fell out.. theres no bounce on that side at all!!!
just wondered if anyone has heard of this or ideas so aint going in blind!!!!!

as Ian says its the spring that sets the ride hight. Probably a lump broken off the end.

Broken spring's are a known problem, they found one on mine last MOT. It just where they brake.

yep, just had to have 2 rear springs done on mine to get it thru mot :(

wheres the best place for springs then?? and what sort of cost?
as this sounds what the prob will be, will do back box as well now then :)

Yup, it has to be a spring, cheapest option is a scrappy, plenty about for little money, doddle to do too.

If you're doing the back box as well, be prepared for it to have taken the mid pipes with it!

right found the problem now!!!!!!
near side rear shock seized in the up position :o
very odd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very strange, I still recon the spring has broken but you will need to get the knackerd shock off first.
