2.0 diesel omega job to start from cold

A friend of ours has a 2.0 diesel omega which is a begger to start frist thing in the morning. once it has been started it then starts fine all day any idea what it could be?. there are no lights on the dash indicating any problems.

Could be one of a hundred things I suppose. One common fault is the pump in the tank, when this packs up it takes a while for the engine to drag the fuel out of the tank, after it has primed, it starts perfect. It will start easier if the tank is over half full.

Sounds like the heater(glow) plugs are on the way out. :y

glow plugs have been replaced that is the first thing he thought of . He did have a pipe burst on him not sure which one and he has replaced that.

Change all the leak-off pipes next.
They're cheap enough and easy to change.
Also check that the fuel filter is tightly fitted to it's head.
